Artists’ group plans Sunday show
South Kona Artist Group is showing sculptures and paintings from its monthly group gathering. The group meets every month and decides on a topic from which to create, and has been meeting for a year and a half.
The show at Society for Kona’s Education and Art located in Honaunau is from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Pupu will be served along with music.

Website lists art classes in Kona
A website dedicated to listing art and craft classes offered in the Kona area has been launched. It also includes information on seminars and workshops.
The site is designed to be a one-stop place to find the many artists who conduct classes in mosaics, watercolor, porcelain painting, gourds, ceramics, oils and acrylics.

Audiences donate funds so keiki can see ballet
Kona audiences demon-strated their appreciation for the Makalapua Stadium Cinema’s “Live in HD” events by collecting more than $500 so that 36 children from Kona could attend a viewing of the New York City Ballet’s “Nutcracker: Live in HD” in December.
